Wars are a well-known catalyst for social unrest and upheaval. Aside from the death of loved ones and the destruction of homes, they often come hand in hand with famines. Between 1855 and 1953, there were four major wars that had a significant impact on Russian society. They were as follows:
The Russo-Turkish War of 1877 and 1878
The Russo-Japanese War of 1904
The First World War from 1914 to 1918
The Russian Civil War from 1918 to 1920
and The second world war from 1939 to 1945
